License

2.000€ excl. VAT - one-time, perpetual license with no restrictions on installations, routers, bandwidth, or mitigated prefixes.

Includes:

  • Remote setup consulting - guided installation and configuration via remote session
  • First-year maintenance - updates, access to the update repository, and 5 support tickets

Permitted Use

The license covers deployments within the licensee's own AS or network infrastructure, including protection of IP prefixes announced via the licensee's BGP — regardless of whether those prefixes belong to the licensee or to their downstream customers.

The following uses are not permitted under a standard license:

  • Operating flowwler as a managed or hosted DDoS protection service for third parties
  • Deploying a dedicated flowwler instance within a customer's own network or AS
  • Sublicensing or reselling the software in any form

Managed service providers and system integrators deploying flowwler in customer environments require a separate license per customer deployment. Contact info@level66.network for MSP licensing terms.

Annual Maintenance

After the first year, maintenance renewal costs 500€ excl. VAT / year and covers:

  • Software updates and bug fixes
  • Access to the private update repository
  • 5 support tickets per year

Lapsed maintenance can be renewed at the standard 500€ rate. Running without an active maintenance contract is permitted - you keep using your last licensed version.

Demo

A time-limited demo binary is available on request. Demo builds are fully functional and expire automatically after the agreed trial period.

Installation

Demo builds are delivered as a standalone .deb package — no APT repository or credentials required.

Copy the package to your server and install it with dpkg:

scp flowwler_<version>_<arch>.deb user@your-server:/tmp/
sudo dpkg -i /tmp/flowwler_<version>_<arch>.deb

Once installed, follow the Getting Started guide. Skip the APT repository setup — the binary is already on your system.

The demo binary logs its expiry date at startup. When the trial period ends, flowwler will refuse to start. To upgrade to a full license, remove the demo package with sudo dpkg -r flowwler and follow the standard installation steps.

FAQ

Is the license per server or per organization?
One license covers unlimited installations within your organization's own network infrastructure.

Can I use flowwler to protect my customers' IP space?
Yes — if those customers are connected via your own network. An ISP or hosting provider can protect downstream customer prefixes that are announced through their BGP infrastructure. What requires a separate license is running a dedicated flowwler instance inside a customer's network, or offering flowwler-based protection as a standalone managed service.

I'm a managed security provider. Can I deploy flowwler for a customer?

What counts as a support ticket?
A support ticket is a single issue submitted by email or phone, tracked to resolution. Configuration questions, bug reports and integration help all qualify. Support is available during business hours.

What does setup consulting include?
Remote-only guided installation and initial configuration. We walk you through deployment, config, router integration and BGP setup via a remote session.

How do I pay?
Bank transfer / SEPA or PayPal. An invoice is issued on purchase.

How is VAT handled?
All prices are exclusive of VAT.

  • German customers - 19% German VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) is added to the invoice.
  • EU customers (business) - VAT is not charged. The reverse charge mechanism applies; you account for VAT in your own country. Please provide your VAT ID when ordering.
  • Customers outside the EU - VAT is not charged.
